Throughout Latin America, talismans are placed over doors, in order to keep a home protected from negative energy. Some of these include palm garlands, which are hung across doorways to discourage bad luck and dark spirits from entering a space. The garland includes hand-rolled bark ropes on either side that can be tied into loops, or hidden underneath the piece when hung. These gorgeous works bring the beauty of nature indoors, and can be installed over a bed, door frame, or anywhere in a space where a little extra protection is required.
